1. Be smarter about your online time.

Replace a few minutes of skateboarding dogs with something more mentally nourishing, suggest several responders.

Leo wapinzani wa Serikali ya Magufuli tumesemwa sana na kutishiwa kushughulikiwa bungeni na nje ya Bunge.

Kwa sababu hiyo, naomba niweke rekodi ya masuala haya sawa sawa.

Mwezi Machi '97 Bunge lilipitisha Sheria 2 kwa siku moja kwa kutumia Hati ya Dharura.

1) Sheria ya Marekebisho ya Sheria Mbali mbali za Fedha ya '97 ilifuta au kupunguza kodi nyingi kwa ajili ya makampuni ya kigeni ya madini.

2) Sheria ya Uwekezaji Tanzania '97 iliwapa wawekezaji wa kigeni ulinzi mkubwa na manufaa mengi kama vile kuondosha nje fedha na faida yote wanayopata kwa uwekezaji wao nchini.

Mwaka '98 Bunge lilipitisha Sheria ya Madini '98 ambayo ilitamka kwamba mwenye milki ya madini na fedha yote itokanayo na mauzo ya madini ni mwenye leseni ya kuchimba madini hayo.

Sheria hizo tatu nimeziita 'Utatu Usio Mtakatifu' (Unholy Trinity) katika maandiko yangu mbali mbali, na nimezichambua sana tangu mwaka '99 nilipoanza harakati dhidi ya sekta ya madini ya aina hii.

Kwa miaka yote hii hadi leo, Sheria hizi za madini zimeungwa mkono na kupigiwa debe na kila kiongozi na mbunge wa CCM, Magufuli included.

Watu hawa, with very few and minor exceptions, ndio wamekuwa washangiliaji wakubwa wa unyonyaji wa makampuni ya kigeni ya madini katika nchi yetu.

Na ukweli ni kwamba watu hawa na Chama chao ndio wamefaidika sana na utaratibu huu katika sekta ya madini.

Wachache tuliopinga utaratibu huu tuliitwa kila aina ya majina mabaya na uzalendo wetu ulihojiwa kama unavyohojiwa leo na Magufuli.

Kwa mfano, Rais Mkapa alidai, wakati anazindua Mgodi wa Bulyanhulu, kwamba upinzani wetu ulikuwa ni 'ujinga uliofichama katika kivuli cha taaluma.'

Baadhi yetu, kama mimi na Dr. Rugemeleza Nshala, tulikamatwa na kushitakiwa mahakamani kwa uchochezi. Tulikabiliwa na kesi hiyo kuanzia Mei '01 hadi '08 ilipofutwa kwa kukosekana ushahidi.

Kama ilivyokuwa wakati wa Mkapa mwaka '01, leo pia Rais Magufuli ametukebehi na kuahidi kutushughulikia 'tukiropoka' nje ya Bunge.

Tunaambiwa ni lazima tumuunge mkono Rais wetu katika hii 'vita ya uchumi.' Ni sheria ipi ya Tanzania inayotulazimu kumuunga mkono Rais wetu hata kama tunaona amekosea???

Hebu naomba tuitafakari hii 'vita ya uchumi' kidogo. Je, nani hasa ni maadui zetu katika 'vita' hii??? Ni makampuni ya madini ya kigeni??? Kama ni hivyo, fikiria yafuatayo:

1) Wakati tuko vitani, Rais Magufuli na serikali yake wameiruhusu Acacia Mining (tunayoambiwa hata haijasajiliwa!!!) kuendelea kuchimba, kusafisha na kusafirisha nje ya nchi dhahabu kutoka Bulyanhulu, Buzwagi na North Mara Tarime.

Amezuia magwangala yasisafirishwe nje kwenye makontena lakini dhahabu yenyewe hamna shida ikisafirishwa na wezi hawa!!!!!

2) Wakati mapambano ya 'vita ya uchumi' yakiendelea, dhahabu yote inayochimbwa Geita Gold Mine (Mgodi mkubwa kuliko yote nchini) inaendelea kuchimbwa, kusafishwa na kusafirishwa nje ya nchi.

3) Wakati tuko vitani, Rais Magufuli na serikali yake ameruhusu kila mgodi wa dhahabu nchini kuwa na kiwanja chake binafsi cha ndege ili wezi hawa waweze kutorosha 'dhahabu yetu' kwa urahisi zaidi.

4) Wakati tungali vitani, 'Utatu Usio Mtakatifu' wa sheria zetu za kodi, uwekezaji na madini uko pale pale ulipokuwa mwaka '97-'98, cosmetic changes excepted.

Aidha, licha ya kuwa vitani, sisi bado ni signatories wa MIGA Convention na bilateral investment treaties (BITs) zinazowalinda hawa tunaoaminishwa kuwa ni wezi na maswahiba wao wa miaka yote.

A DBMS makes it possible for end users to create, read, update and delete data in a database. The DBMS essentially serves as an interface between the database and end users or application programs, ensuring that data is consistently organized and remains easily accessible.

The DBMS manages three important things: the data, the database engine that allows data to be accessed, locked and modified -- and the database schema, which defines the database’s logical structure. These three foundational elements help provide concurrency, security, data integrity and uniform administration procedures. Typical database administration tasks supported by the DBMS include change management, performance monitoring/tuning and backup and recovery. As long as programs use the application programming interface (API) for the database that is provided by the DBMS, developers won't have to modify programs just because changes have been made to the database.

With relational DBMSs (RDBMSs), this API is SQL, a standard programming language for defining, protecting and accessing data in a RDBMS.

Popular types of DBMSes
Popular database models and their management systems include:

Relational database management system (RDMS)  - adaptable to most use cases, but RDBMS Tier-1 products can be quite expensive.

NoSQL DBMS - well-suited for loosely defined data structures that may evolve over time.

In-memory database management system (IMDBMS) - provides faster response times and better performance.

Columnar database management system (CDBMS) - well-suited for data warehouses that have a large number of similar data items.

Advantages of a DBMS
Using a DBMS to store and manage data comes with advantages, but also overhead. Magufuli crackdown on critics sends shockwaves

Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli started off as a darling of African people when he took office in 2015 with his drastic cuts on public expenditure but his stance on critics is starting to worry his admirers. The latest incident involved a Tanzanian rapper who was arrested for releasing a song deemed insulting to Magufuli and his government. A line in the song, which has gone viral on social media asks “Is there still freedom of expression?” and talks about a doctor who cannot tolerate criticism. Tanzanian Police said the musician would be questioned for releasing a song that maligns the government. This was days after Magufuli warned the media on the extent of its freedom. In June last year, a 40 year old Tanzanian man was sentenced to three years in jail for insulting Magufuli on Facebook. The Arusha Resident Magistrates Court also ordered him to pay a Sh10m fine. The convict fell victim of a widely condemned cybercrime law that was passed in Tanzania.

16-Year-Old Attacked Sony and Microsoft, Now Goes to Jailed

Adam Mudd from the UK has received 2 years in jail for setting up a global computer hacking business. He was 16 when he created the Titanium Stresser software, which carried out over 1.7m attacks on major websites, including Minecraft, Xbox Live and Microsoft. Mudd earned more than $500,000 in dollars and bitcoins from selling the software to hackers.




Now 20-year-old pleaded guilty and was sentenced, with the judge noting that he came from a “perfectly respectable and caring family”. The judge also admitted that the sentence in the case must have a “real element of deterrent” and refused to suspend the jail term. He pointed out that it was a serious money-making business and Titanium Stresser was doing exactly what Mudd created it to do and sent the defendant to a young offender institution.

Mudd, who lived with his parents, had previously undiagnosed Asperger syndrome and was eager to gain status in the online gaming community than the money. He carried out about 600 of DDoS attacks against 181 IP addresses in 2014 and 2015. The man admitted to security breaches against his college while he was studying computer science. On one occasion, the college hacking affected 70 other schools and colleges, including Cambridge, Essex and East Anglia universities.

It was revealed that there were more than 112,000 registered users of Titanium Stresser who hacked about 666,000 IP addresses worldwide. Mudd created the software in September 2013 using a fake name and address in Manchester. His customers were offered a variety of payment plans, including discounts for bulk purchases, as well as a referral program.

The teenager was arrested in March 2015, when he was in his bedroom at his computer. Mudd refused to unlock the machine before his father intervened. He was expelled from college and now works as a kitchen porter, banned from the Internet for 2 years – this was a form of punishment for any computer-obsessed teenager.

His sentencing comes on the day that alleged hacker Lauri Love was given the go-ahead to challenge his extradition to the United States. American authorities have been fighting for Love, suffering from Asperger syndrome, to face trial on hacking charges. He could face 99 years in prison if he is found guilty. Love is alleged to have stolen huge amounts of data from a wide range of the US agencies, including the Federal Reserve, the US army, Nasa and the FBI.

7 Early Signs of Lung Cancer You Need To Pay Attention

Even though pain caused in the above mentioned areas is not often connected with lung cancer, it may be caused as a result of metastasis on the chests, lungs, or enlargement of the lymph nodes or the ribs.

It does not matter if you feel healthy, strong, constant or dull, what matters is that you must visit your doctor in order to make sure what is going on with your health condition.



4. Whistling/Wheezing

If you notice a wheezing or whistling sound while you breathe, pay a visit to your doctor. However, you must not panic because all those sounds appear when airways are constricted or inflamed. The sounds may be a sign of something easily curable. If the sounds are prolonged then you should visit your doctor for sure.

5. Weight Drop

4 Common problems of Tanzanian students

Today I'm going to share with you some common problems of Tanzanian students from lower level to higher level.

From the research which I have been doing and observing for few months I have come up with some major problems of Tanzania students in large percent.

These problems contribute a lot in failure of them to be competent even to reach maximum point of their knowledge.

In summary the following is what I have observed:

1. Most of them are in the problem of fear and lack of confidence as soon as they realise there are many people who they don't know their status or level of education.

This may be contributed by inadequate time to study various books or concepts which will give them enough confidence to talk in front of people even if those people are doctors.

2.Tanzanian students in large percent don't know how to utilise well their language especially language of instruction which is English.

It's obvious that for any one to be able to communicate well he or she should have to be competent in particular language to be used.

3. They don't want to learn from great students from other countries.

One among best way to get knowledge is to read from top ones.

4. Inadequate seriousness and concentration to their studies.

Whenever someone do anything he or she needs to concentrate effectively  on what is going on unless other wise he won't be able do it in best way.

To end up this article I would like to give some advice to Tanzanian students and all learners inclusively

1.They have to read many books as possible
2.They have to avoid inferiority to anyone, they have to believe they can do and compete.
3.Much concentration to their studies is important
4.Time management during studying hours and pleasure time.
5.Lastly they have to understand that social networks and internet at large are
very important when are used in appropriate ways such as having discussion forums with students world wide
